Hey there, I’m Tyler
I bring value to teams that are struggling to find footing in any stage of their product lifecycle. I’m particularly passionate about leading end-to-end design efforts, rallying teams by systematically understanding user problems, and exploring multiple options.
I can help you figure out what you should build and then lead a team to make it happen.
I’ve been a practicing designer for 10+ years. In that time, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain experience by solving problems across several different industries and within a range of companies, design teams, and studios. I currently work at Microsoft within the Cloud + AI Design Studio as a Senior UX Designer working on Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management. Since joining, I’ve invested time into project planning, prioritization and driving clarity across the broader team.
Before joining Microsoft in July 2019, I worked for Dell EMC within their Experience Design Group (EDG) as an Interactive/Visual Design Principal Engineer. Much of my focus supported the development and growth of different design systems. This work entailed a significant amount of research, UI component and library creation, collaboration across teams, and technical writing. I also supported a Boston-based software team tasked with designing an enterprise management console.
Prior to Dell, I was a Senior UX Designer at Toptal, a freelance network of elite developers, designers, and finance professionals. Our product helped classify prospective talent, pairing them with clients such as Airbnb, Google, Shopify, HP, and others. At Toptal, I led the creation of their first design system, BASE. Being one of only 2 UX designers, I worked across most projects at various stages.
TL;DR
I love design, problem solving, and learning.
I strive to always ask questions and learn from every opportunity. I am driven by the idea that my best work is yet to be created.
